It all started with a thoroughbred gelding and some cake. The rest is history...

 

On bright May afternoon Ithilien Stables' Jessica Walker decided it was high time we had a birthday party for her beloved 11-year-old thoroughbred "Southside," also known as JD. With some horsey cake from Snaks 5th Avenchew and a few candles, the gang sang to JD, who suddenly blew out the candles and grinned with joy. A YouTube upload later, and JD went viral! His video has been watched by over 2 million people and has appeared on Good Morning America, the Today Show, and news channels from Japan to Australia!

 

A grandson of Secreteriat, JD has been Jessica's passion over the year she has owned him; an essentially forgotten horse, she took him under her wing, and along with Leah Epstein, undertook the challenging task of training an adult horse. "Southside" has blossomed into a show hunter with Jessica's love and paitence. We're so happy the world had fallen in love with our JD too!
